Room Arranger can help you design room interiors. Moreover, it can also be used to plan an apartment, a house or a garden. The tool is an effective way to anticipate what a given architectural space is going to look like as well as to find the best ways the furniture can be placed. Fortunately, to help you find your way, the application is accompanied by an excellent user guide and some sample projects.
When you’re creating a new project, you should follow the steps in the left panel, which acts like a tutorial. The first of these steps is selecting the type of project from one room to apartment, and, luckily, the program supports adding various floors. Then, you can proceed to edit the walls. Finally, it’s time to arrange the furniture, items and other objects. There’s a built-in library in which objects are organized into such categories as chairs, tables, accessories, cabinets, among others. Moreover, you can create personal libraries with your own objects. As to this, you can build new complex objects by grouping other simple objects or using polygonal shapes. It’s a pity that creating 3D objects with this program may be very complex and demand too much time. You can also have some difficulties to add textures to the different surfaces. It’s nice that the resulting project can be explored as a 3D model. For this purpose, the tool can generate several viewpoints. Besides, you can also walk through the spaces in different modes: walking, flying and examining. Likewise, you can export the project as images or even as a web page.
All in all, Room Arranger solves some problems related to interior and exterior design. However, this is certainly not the program I would use for this purpose, mainly because it’s too difficult to use. In my opinion, the tool isn’t sophisticated enough for professional use or sufficiently simple for home users.
